We are booking a club weekend in Edinburgh Friday 29th – 31st May for the Edinburgh Marathon Festival

Events available: 5k, 10k, half and full marathon,marathon relay (various distances) and children’s races.We will travel up Friday and you can compete on the Saturday and/ or Sunday, returning Sunday evening (there is an option to stay a further night if people wanted as it is bank holiday weekend). We have been kindly offered 2 mini-bus’s from Richard which worked brilliantly last time. It is a great way to travel and very cost effective at about £15 each return.All this is flexible, but a guideline. You have time on Saturday afternoon to explore and do your own thing and all get together for a meal Saturday if you wish.We are booking accommodation at Musselburgh Travelodge, which is approx £120 for a family room for Friday and Saturday night which can accommodate 3 adults or a family.(http://www.travelodge.co.uk/hotels/206/Edinburgh-Musselburgh-hotel)Past events: 2014 /2012  Photos 2014 / 2012 / 2011

Manchester Harriers will once again host the Platt Fields 10k and Junior 3k tomorrow.

ENTRIES ARE AVAILABLE ON THE DAY FOR BOTH RACES. You can download the entry form here

Directions to the event are here. There is a cycling event on Manchester City Centre and the Mancunian Way is closed in the morning.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A BMX CYCLE EVENT IN THE PARK WHICH MAY CAUSE PROBLEMS WITH PARKING SO DO PLEASE ALLOW EXTRA TIME. AS A RESULT OF THE BMX EVENT, WE HAVE HAD TO MAKE SOME CHANGES TO THE COURSE. THE AMENDED COURSE IS BELOW

Lots of new pbs this weekend on Edinburgh.
Saturday saw Sonya Hynes come 4th lady in the 5k with 22:50 on a course with a massive hill. Kirsty Lyons did the 10k in 55:11 with 2 laps of the same course. In the children’s 3k race Anna Brogan ran 14:50 and Alicia Brogan 15:11.

Sunday was the half marathon, marathon and marathon relay.
