The forth match is this Saturday 15th Jan 2022 at Tatton Park.
- Bring your number -it’s the same number for the whole season and there is a £3 charge for replacements.
- Club Vests must be worn
- Spikes or good off-road shoes recommended!

Seniors’ Endurance Training w/c 3rd January
Hope you all had a good, festive, break, all the cheese has been eaten and you’re ready for training again:
Tuesday 4th
40 mins variable Fartlek. Efforts from 100m to 1000m.
Pace from fast stride to 10k
Thursday 6th
4 x 1600m (10K pace, hard breathing) 2 min recovery between efforts
2 x 50m hard effort – full recovery slow walk back
Saturday 4 mile tempo run with slow acceleration from start
Sunday Long 10-12 mile easy steady run

Seniors’ Endurance Training Christmas 2021
Last session at Wythensawe track is Thur 23rd. First session back is Tue 4th Jan 2022.
Malcolm’s advice is to take a break. Do some easy runs, but nothing too intense.
Debbie has planned a few sessions, all seniors welcome, contact her for details:
- Fri 24th = Xmas Eve Run – 9am from Maria’s to set us up for Christmas Day ~1Hr, off and on road.
- Sun 26th – Boxing Day Run – Vernon/Woodbank Park – 11am so you can lie-in.
- Mon 27th – Adlington Winter Warmer – 10am 10K, no watches or GPS, closest to your predicted time wins. Enter here, closes 26th.
- Tue 28th – Woodbank Park – 10am, meet by the old hall, hill session.
- Thur 30th – Heaton Mersey Bowl – 10am from Lindsey’s +1Hr.
- Fri 31st – Styal Mill – 8.45am at Ship Inn car park. ~800m relay in teams of four. Fuel up inside/outside Styal Community Cafe after.
- Sun 2nd – Vernon Park – 10am, steady Marple/Bredbury run.

Christmas Handicap 2021
The Christmas Handicap will be at 10am on Sunday 19th December in Wythenshawe Park. Junior race – 1 Mile – at 10am followed by senior race (~3 Miles)
Wear Christmas outfits, Xmas Jumpers, Santa hats or come in club vest – whatever!
Handicap presentations, mince pies and the results of the the ballot for Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year will be held after by the track. (Social at Wythenshawe Town FC cancelled is due to the increase Covid risk).

The third match is this Saturday 4th December at Kenworthy Woods / Wythenshawe Sports Ground, M23 0BD.
Entries for this match are now closed, you can’t enter on the day, but you can still sign up for the rest of the season.

- If you didn’t run in earlier matches collect your number on the day from Debbie and Keep It
