Hi Athletes, Parents, Coaches and helpers
It has been a while since my last update, as you will be aware the Government announced a LOCKDOWN from Thursday 5th November 2020. I have been liaising with Manchester CC on venue access and currently both Wythenshawe Track and Manchester Regional Athletic Arena (Sportcity) will close and I do not have a date when they will be back open for our training sessions, closure will be from midnight Wednesday 4th November. Going by the Government advice we will not be back at both venues until early DECEMBER, but I will update if anything changes.
See statement is due from England Athletics shortly.
Latest lockdown restrictions – Athletics & Running
All Indoor Athletics, Road Races and Cross Country leagues/events have been cancelled until the new year and an update will be issued in due course for 2021. In the meantime if you are doing any virtual sessions/activity or have photos do send them through to our Facebook/Twitter/Instagram.
Please note our last Wythensawe training session is Tuesday 2nd November and there is no session on Thursday 5th November (Bonfire Night and LOCKDOWN starts). Take care and stay safe, if you have any queries do contact me either via phone or email.
Regards,
Debbie Beresford
It’s most unlikely we will be able to hold a Presentation Evening this year, so we’ve decided to publish the 2019 Road Championship results. Members are asked to look through the list of “Races Run” and the “Table”; if you find any errors and/or omissions, please contact Brenda by the 14th November. As it stands, we’ll be giving nine awards as shown on the “Winners” attachment and we’ll post the awards to the winning individuals early in December.
