Wythenshawe Park

Location: Wythenshawe Park Athletics Track, Wythenshawe Road, Manchester, M23 0AB

Training for juniors and adults takes place here every Tuesday and Thursday between 6pm and 7pm. We have various groups which cater for all abilities, covering cross country, track & field, road, trail, fell and social running.

Sportcity

Location: Sportcity Regional Indoor Athletics Centre, Manchester, M11 3FF

These sessions are aimed at teenagers and young adults who specialise in track and field events. Sessions take place every Monday and Wednesday between 7pm and 8:30pm, and alternate Fridays.

Seniors/vets endurance training

There are two main groups of seniors training at Wythenshawe Park.

  • There is a group which works with beginners right through to people who can run 5k in around 23 mins.
  • The other group works with runners who can run 5k from around 23 mins and faster, which has a training blog and you can sign up for email updates here.

Weekend runs

Regular long runs for seniors take places at the weekends – organised on a weekly basis. Some local some further a field.

Styal

Location: The Ship Inn Car Park, Altrincham Road, Styal, Cheshire, SK9 4JE

The Over The Hill Gang is composed of some of the club’s veteran runners , who train at a more leisurely pace. They train from here every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm. dns
